Sounding Valve
The sampling valve is a self-closing valve with a weight.
Body made of brass with a bronze weight.
The valve has a brass vent and a brass cap. It is attached at the end of a pipe leading onto the deck (so called a sampling pipe). After opening the valve, a measuring probe can be lowered into the tank through its opening. This probe is used to measure the fuel level in tanks.
